Who We Are
We were founded within a high-performing distribution business, and for over 20 years, we’ve focused on one mission: helping distributors become more profitable, more competitive, and more valuable.
The Cavallo Story
We draw inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci—his boundless creativity and genius.
In the late 15th century, da Vinci designed Il Cavallo, a 24-foot horse sculpture for the Duke of Milan. But before it could be cast in bronze, the clay model was destroyed by French archers. Leonardo died in 1519, never completing it.
Centuries later, his sketches were rediscovered, and a 1977 National Geographic article revived interest. In 1997, Grand Rapids philanthropist Fred Meijer sponsored a new version. Today, two 24-foot Il Cavallo statues exist—one in Milan, the other in Grand Rapids at the Frederik Meijer Gardens.
Cavallo is named in honor of the resilience, innovation and dream of Il Cavallo brought to life through perseverance and deeply rooted in Grand Rapids, the very community we call home. It’s a testament to the power of a great idea, brought to fruition through dedication and vision—a philosophy that guides everything we do.
Caring for Our Community
We’re committed to giving back to the Grand Rapids community we proudly call home. By focusing on our local neighborhood, we support initiatives that make a real difference. We listen, we show up, and we invest in the people and places around us—because strong communities start with those who serve them.
