— Our Commitment —

“Our promise is simple: we’re here for the long haul. Cavallo will support SalesPad for GP for at least the next ten years — and longer if our customers do. Because our commitment isn’t to a timeline, it’s to the people and businesses who’ve built their success with us.”

Mike Biwer
CEO, Cavallo

Unwavering support for our SalesPad customers.

You’re in control of your timeline.

Protecting your investment—today, tomorrow, and where your business goes next.

Cavallo’s promise to our SalesPad for GP customers is simple: we’re here for the long haul.

While others move on from Microsoft Dynamics GP, we’re fully committed to the customers who built their success with SalesPad. We will continue to improve and support SalesPad for GP for at least the next ten years—and longer if our customers do. Our focus is on stability, continuity, and ensuring your investment keeps driving growth, not risk.

We know many distributors, manufacturers, and product-led companies are weighing when—or if—they’ll transition from GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. That’s why we’re removing the financial uncertainty from that decision entirely. If and when you move to Business Central, we’ll protect your investment by applying the full value of your SalesPad for GP licenses to your new SalesPad for BC licenses, so you’ll never pay twice or lose your investment.

Whether you stay on GP or plan your next move, we’ve got you covered.

Frequently-Asked Questions

How long will Cavallo continue to support SalesPad for GP?

We’ve made a firm 10-year commitment—supporting SalesPad for GP through at least 2035, and longer if our customers continue using it. This includes ongoing product development, maintenance, customer support, and compatibility updates as needed. We’re not just supporting SalesPad, we’re continuing to invest in new functionality for our customers and the market.

What happens when Microsoft ends support for Dynamics GP?

GP won’t suddenly stop working. After Microsoft’s end-of-support milestones (December 2029 for updates and April 2031 for security patches and SPLA billing), GP will continue running. Cavallo’s commitment focuses on keeping SalesPad fully functional and workflows running smoothly, ensuring your day-to-day operations remain uninterrupted. While our support doesn’t cover Microsoft’s regulatory or tax compliance updates, our team and partner ecosystem are here to help you maintain performance and stability well into the future.

Will SalesPad still function after Microsoft ends support?

Yes. SalesPad will continue to operate as it does today. We are prepared to address any compatibility or integration issues that might appear as operating systems or third-party tools evolve. Cavallo remains your safe haven, supporting SalesPad and Dynamics GP customers through 2035 and beyond, even after Microsoft sunsets security updates in 2031.

When should I start planning my long-term ERP strategy?

You don’t need to rush, GP isn’t shutting off, it’s simply moving into Microsoft’s end-of-support phase. Cavallo’s 10-year commitment means SalesPad for GP remains fully supported through 2035 and beyond, giving you the time and confidence to plan on your terms. As you evaluate next steps, we encourage you to keep Cavallo involved. Our team can help ensure your order-to-cash workflows stay efficient today and transition smoothly when you’re ready to move to Business Central with SalesPad for BC.

How is Cavallo protecting my investment if I move from GP to Business Central?

We will protect your investment if and when you migrate to Business Central. Cavallo will apply the full value of your SalesPad for GP licenses to your new SalesPad for BC licenses (up to the equivalent cost of the BC licenses). Maintain your investment value while gaining modern cloud capabilities, and we’ll ensure you’ll pay no more than you do today.

If I decide to move to BC, what capabilities move with me?

We’ve brought the most impactful parts of SalesPad for GP into BC, including workflow automation and real-time visibility, all delivered in a fully integrated BC experience that’s easier to use, configure, and evolve over time. Whether you stay on GP or plan your Business Central migration, Cavallo ensures uninterrupted operations and a clear future path.

What if I plan to stay on GP indefinitely?

That’s perfectly fine, and you’re not alone! Many Cavallo customers are planning to stay on GP. It’s why we’re continuing to support and innovate for GP customers. You’ll continue to receive updates, product improvements, and customer support without being pressured to migrate.

Will my partner integrations still work after GP's end-of-support?

Most partner ISVs (such as Avalara, Shopify, and WooCommerce) will maintain support for a period following Microsoft’s end-of-support dates. Cavallo is actively collaborating with trusted GP partners to ensure continuity and shared long-term support.

What if a third-party integration I use stops supporting GP?

Even if other vendors discontinue GP integration, SalesPad for GP will continue to function. Cavallo and our ecosystem partners are committed to maintaining key integration pathways for commerce, tax, and logistics. If an ISV withdraws support, our professional services team can provide alternate integration solutions or custom connectors.

Can I host SalesPad in the cloud or as a managed service?

Yes. Cavallo’s select partners offer managed hosting options for GP environments, which can help mitigate some security and maintenance concerns beyond Microsoft’s support window. Contact us for more information about these offerings.

Why is Cavallo continuing to support GP when others are moving on?

Because we’re committed to the distributors, manufacturers, and product-led companies who’ve built their businesses on GP and SalesPad. While others are phasing out support, Cavallo is standing firm—offering a safe haven. We’re removing uncertainty and reducing the risk to your business by providing stability, investment protection, and a seamless future path.

What happens to security once Microsoft stops releasing patches for GP?

Microsoft will stop issuing GP security updates after April 2031, but Cavallo customers won’t be left exposed. We actively monitor security best practices and collaborate with managed service providers to offer hosting environments that include ongoing OS and database-level patching. Our goal is to keep your SalesPad environment secure and stable long after Microsoft’s GP updates end.

What happens to my data if I eventually migrate from GP to Business Central?

Your data remains fully yours. Cavallo’s migration tools and service partners ensure all your SalesPad data — including workflow configurations, customer records, and transaction history — can be securely transferred or archived. Nothing is lost when you move from GP to BC or to another Cavallo-supported environment.

What level of support can I expect from Cavallo over the next decade?

Our support doesn’t change. You’ll have access to the same dedicated customer support, product updates, and training resources that you rely on today.
